Who can join?
Membership can be acquired by individuals (patients, next of kin and patient representatives).
The rights of a member are personal and cannot be transferred or assigned. Membership rights shall cease on a member's death or an individual ceasing to be a member.
Why is my application being refused?
Patient in Focus may at its absolute discretion refuse the application of an individual to become a member without having to give any reason for its decision. An applicant whose membership application is refused has the right to appeal to The Danish Consumer Complaints Board against the refusal.
What is expected of me as a member?
Membership terms and conditions set out your rights and obligations as a member of Patient in Focus.
It is entirely up to you to decide how much time and energy you put into your membership. Some members might participate in every activity, some in a few and some members are just members to support the mission of Patient in Focus.
How old do I have to be, to be a member?
Anyone can become a member of Patient in Focus. All from primary school students to pensioners. We are disease neutral, so all diagnoses and disabilities are welcome.
How much does it cost?
A private membership costs EUR 40 a year. You pay for a calendar year. No matter when you start your membership of the year, you pay dues again the same month the following year.
It is only possible to become a member by paying an annual membership.
Patient in Focus reserves the right to cancel or exclude a membership that, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, discourages or harms our members, association or mission.

What happens if I don´t pay my membership fee?
If a membership fee has not been paid you lose all member benefits and rights. You will not be able to receive information or participate in activities or events.
If your membership lapses, we will contact you for a short time to ask whether you would like to rejoin our membership or hear from us about other ways that you can support our work.
